Poker Table Suckers

We have a saying in poker,

“when you look around the table and don’t see the sucker, it’s probably you.”

I excerpted the paragraph below from the Home page of the Global Gaming Expo to be held in fabulous Las Vegas, NV, October 8 thru 11, 2018. This column is NOT a plug for the show. This is exactly how it reads:

The text I have bolded in the above paragraph is quite interesting. Notice they tell us that new revenues will be generated for a lot of stake holders. Notice, also, they say nothing about generating new revenue for actual sports bettors. Guess where the $17 billion of new revenue will be coming from? Are you still looking around the poker table and wondering who the sucker is?

Look folks, I know you want to be part of the action. But if you are not prepared to understand how sports betting works, and understand the difference between betting value and no value, then your hard-earned money will most certainly be part of the $17 billion flowing to those who will profit from your loss.
