Table Talk NBA

I covered handicapping the NBA in the linked post. It’s not handicapping in the purest sense of the term. Yet we are able to deduce a bet from our observation of how gamblers are lining up on a side. Last night was an excellent example of this.

The Oklahoma City Thunder traveled out to Oakland, CA to play a game against the Golden State Warriors. The line opened with the Warriors as 1-point favorites. The line danced around a bit between +1 and -1, with some books making the line a Pick.

The Warriors are a mess right now, certainly not in the form they were in when they won the championship last June. I consulted our old friend SportsInsights.com and was pleased to find that 65% of the spread bets were on the Warriors. I’ve seen this movie before, lots of times, and got down on the visiting Thunder. Final score Thunder 123 Warriors 95.

This was what I call the Wipeout Game. Join our site and visit the Advanced Content portion of the site for an explanation of this very real phenomenon and how to make consistent money from it.
