A Few Words About The National Football League

Cleveland Browns Stadium

The National Football Entertainment (NFE)

This is my opinion, based on 58 years being alive and reading and listening and watching many of the displays the League has put on, all shown on “live” television. Thursdays, Sundays, Mondays and when college football regular season ends, Saturdays. During the scamdemic, the occasional Tuesday.

Pro TipIt is not really live television, and those of you who want to bet in-game, need to know what the lag time is between the play on the field, the play on your television and the ever-changing in-game betting options your sportsbook app offers.

I am NOT a fan of the National Football League. I call it National Football ENTERTAINMENT (NFE). Remember how World Wrestling Federation morphed into World Wrestling Entertainment? Here is what Wiki has to say about all that.

Yeah, NFE is no different.

As in “wrestling entertainment” same goes with “football entertainment.” Same with countries the US pretends to be at odds with, North Korea being a prime example…You cannot have a Good Guy without having a Bad Guy. You cannot have a Bad Guy without having a Good Guy.

This fact of life is what the sports entertainment business is all about.

I present Exhibit A from this season’s tragicomedy – Cleveland Browns and DeShaun Watson. This is a loathsome franchise and an even more loathsome man. But the NFE allows it to happen because the business model of the WWE WORKS. It gets people talking. It gets people on opposite sides…most importantly it gets people to buy stupid stuff (player jerseys, Sunday NFE Ticket, seat licenses and actual seats in a stadium, $20 beers, $100 parking) with their hard-earned dinero. Looking back at that last sentence, it occurs to me you rent everything except the jersey.

Many gamedays and with some matchups, you might be watching a sporting contest between two professional football teams. You might also be watching a storyline the NFE wants to tell and wants to unfold over an 18-week regular season (realistically a never-ending NFE news cycle 24/7/365). Am I saying the NFE is rigged? You bet I am. Not every game, but in my opinion, The Shield manipulates the outcomes of some of its entertainment.

I’m one of the very few people who will offer that opinion. I do know a few people touting and selling picks who agree with me about the rigging of NFE games. However, I am not aware of any tout or website selling you picks that will tell you some of the plays and outcomes are manipulated. It would hurt their business. This guy will tell you ALL about it.

As for me, I pretty much do not care and rarely watch anymore. However, I am a member of a Crew that enters the Circa Millions NFE contest every season. Personally, I am not a fan of the NFE s oap opera, but I do enjoy the camaraderie amongst our Crew. Well, the prize money is also an incentive. Mind you, this is NOT an advertisement for the Circa contest, as I do not need any more of you sharps competing against me!

When it comes to fall football, this is my mantra…Saturday is the day for football, Sunday is the day for raking leaves.

Peace Out
